Serving Boston, Cambridge, Brookline and Newton
Boston homes are tall, narrow and full of stairs. From brownstones in the Back Bay and South End to triple-deckers in Dorchester and Jamaica Plain, the staircase is often the one thing standing between a family and staying in the house they love. Nationwide Lifts of Massachusetts installs and services home elevators and stair lifts across Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Newton and the surrounding towns.
We are a family business based in Wilmington, about 20 minutes north of the city, with licensed Massachusetts elevator mechanics on our own staff. Meet our team.
In a brownstone or row house, a compact residential elevator can often rise through a stack of closets or the rear of the building, and pneumatic models need no pit or machine room. In a triple-decker, the long straight stair to an upper unit suits a stair lift installation, usually completed in a few hours. Where a few steps at the front door are the barrier, a vertical platform lift is the answer, and a residential dumbwaiter takes over the carrying between floors.
